Whoami

Who am i?

I am Jeremy Pavlov, NCE(ES), CLE, RHCE, LPIC2, CLP, CLA, CLDA, Linux+, CDE, MCNE, NCA, CNA, MCP, MCTS, MCITP, MCSA, VTSP, STS, etc…

I am currently employed by Coretek Services as an “Enterprise Consultant”.  Previously, I worked for Cavalier (a PAETEC Company), in the “Professional Services” (a.k.a. Consulting) group within the company.  PAETEC recently bought Cavalier, which had previously bought my former parent company “Talk America”, which had bought my former parent company “LDMI”, which had bought my former company “Ideal Technology Solutions, US“.

I have been both a Consultant to our customer base, and a architect / sysadmin / administrator of internal services for my employers since 1996.

Just to clarify, I don’t call myself a Linux “guru”.  In fact, I struggle with the term “Linux Expert”, since with Linux — as in life — I find that the more you know about it, the more the horizons open and you begin to understand how much more you have yet to learn.  And the horizons seem to open every day.

And one cannot possibly know *everything* about GNU/Linux;  because at the moment one could think he’s absorbed all there is to know about it, somebody else will have created something new with/for/from it.  It’s the nature of this beast;  and one of its greatest strengths.  It is this nature that keeps me interested, and focused on the quest for knowledge and experience.  It is this reason that I created this blog.  It is this reason that I hope you enjoy it and participate.

🙂
